It’s a cliché for a company to say “we’re in touch with what our consumers want”, but MIO was created by a genuine consumer; a busy mother with an immediate need to find an effective lifestyle tool. She needed it to monitor her heart rate and calorie burn without needing to wear an uncomfortable and cumbersome chest strap to do so. It was her vision, tenacity and pure determination that brought the World’s first ECG Accurate Strapless Heart Rate Monitor to market, and it’s that same mother of three who still runs the now global MIO brand.
That passion and pride in the company is reflected in every one of its employees, and the support received by our customers over the years has been astonishing. MIO has always maintained a close dialogue with its customers, and it was one very such MIO fan who suggested we create the ‘MIO Consumer Council’. This will be a volunteer program made up of adult MIO owners who share a collective passion for our brand, products and living a healthy lifestyle. The MIO Consumer Council will help maintain MIO as the most innovative, attractive yet affordable electronic fitness and lifestyle brand on the market. Members will be able to test new products before launch, provide input into the product development process, marketing campaigns and strategic decisions which will directly affect the management and direction of the MIO Brand.
