5 Week Challenge with MIO Wellness Coach, Joel Harper

you on a 5 week journey to improved mental and physical fitness.

Joel Harper, MIO Wellness Coach and Personal Trainer on the Dr. Oz show is here to help you accomplish your goals. All you need to do it to dedicate 5 minutes a day for the next 5 weeks.

The goal of this challenge is to get you tension free, energized, in amazing shape and feeling great overall!

The program uses no equipment and each day of the week will focus on a different part of the body: Monday=Arms, Tue=Core, Wed=Legs, Thursday=Back, Friday=Upper Body and on Friday it will end with a Cardio workout to do on Saturday or Sunday and the other day is rest.

Each day will have:

  1. FIT TIP=exercise (1 minute)
  2. STRETCH TIP=open the muscles you exercised (1 minute)
  3. BALANCE TIP=An exercise to help you improve your balance and walk on a tight rope. (1 minute) Stand next to a sturdy chair for support if you have a hard time balancing
  4. MIND TIP=To keep you mentally focused and clear on your goals (30sec)
  5. HEALTH TIP=Diet is 50% of it (30 seconds)

HOW:
'Like' MIO's Facebook Page, if you haven't already. Check back daily for the exercise. If you miss an exercise they will all be archived on right here. 

WHAT YOU NEED:
5 minutes a day! It is recommended to use a MIO watch to keep informed of your heart rate and calorie burn. Optional equipment: Velcro rubber trimming belt

I was doing some work with a television station and I was provided with a hired car with a driver. The driver’s name was John. Throughout my ride John confided in me that he had recently survived a heart attack. He was determined to seize this second change at life by improving his health, losing weight and changing his overall lifestyle! He was terrified that if he overexerted himself that he would relapse and possibly have another heart attack. While listening to this brave man’s story I realized that I could help this man!
